COME HANG OUT WITH ME IN FRANCE
OK. I’m back on the blog. It’s the 28th of April, 2018, and I have finally decided that I’m going to visit my friends, Lars (a professional chef) and Nirin (a doctor), in France. You met them in my Nomad book.
They have renovated a castle, near the Loire River, and they just opened a Bed and Breakfast. I visited them before the renovation (to attend their wedding), and I can’t wait to see those guys again. I love them and you will too. I’ve traveled with them about ten times…..met them in Indonesia. Most recently, we went to Madagascar (Nirin’s father is from there and French is the first language of many natives. Lars is from Sweden.)

I’m going to be there from the 21st of May until the 9th of June. It’s in Oudon, near Nantes. I’m planning to take an art class from a Swedish friend of Lars’. If you want to join us, you are welcome. I am a complete novice in the art category, and I can’t wait to show off my non-existent skills!!!
Lars is also up for cooking classes. I’ve eaten a lot of amazing meals cooked by Lars. I must confess that the only thing he lets me do in the kitchen is chop onions.

Me. I’m not getting younger and I confess that having Dr. Nirin around for my stay with them is incredibly reassuring. My travel has been minimal lately. So has my adventurous spirit. Laziness describes it better!!
I’ve been living in an apartment downstairs in Jan’s, house. Her husband, Bill, is very much here to deal with problems, like stuffed sinks and broken TV’s. And though I know I should, I’m not exercising much either. My aging brain forgets what I did yesterday and my shoulders constantly remind me of my 80 years!!
I wish I could forget that we have a hateful man as president…..but I’m addicted to the news, especially Rachel Maddow. I can’t wait for the next presidential election. I can’t imagine that he will be elected again. I have a hard time accepting the fact that so many people can buy into his values. I’m hoping that women and clear-thinking men will dump Trump even before he runs again!! On that note, I urge you to help get him out of there.
